Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic is re-emerging in 2021 as a second wave and the disease behaviour is different from the second wave. India is currently in the second wave and mitigating the disease spread and loss of lives. Patients are facing sudden reduced oxygen saturation leading to more number of hospitalisation and  immediate need for oxygen administration. This has lead to an acute shortage of oxygen supply to healthcare facilities and increased mortality. In this article, we discuss the various medical oxygen devices available and their advantages for appropriate use in this pandemic.
