The current Covid-19 pandemic by SARS-CoV-2 virus which emerged from Wuhan, China has brought us to a global lockdown. The virus is highly contagious and as on May 8th the disease has spread to 212 countries. Human-human contact is the main mode of transmission and all precautions should be taken to intercept this transmission as constantly advised by World Health Organization (WHO). As researchers have to return to work to carry out their on-going projects, its important to realise and follow certain precautions to minimize the risk of  Covid-19 infection and transmission. This article will give an overview of precautions as guidelines to follow in a research institute.
